Characteristics

GS-202 is a specialized hydrophobic fumed silica that has been surface-treated with polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). It is derived from a hydrophilic silica base with a specific surface area of 200 m²/g, a key characteristic that contributes significantly to its performance. This treatment process fundamentally alters the silica's properties, transforming it from water-absorbing to water-repelling, which makes it exceptionally effective in controlling rheology in non-aqueous systems.

This versatile material is particularly suitable for enhancing the performance of resin adhesives, industrial finishing agents, and high-quality printing inks. In these and other complex rheological systems, GS-202 acts as a highly efficient thickener and anti-settling agent. It provides excellent sag resistance, prevents pigment settling, and ensures optimal viscosity stability, thereby improving both the application properties and the final quality of the end products. Properties:

1. When applied in grout sealants, it exhibits outstanding thickening and thixotropic properties. In epoxy colored sand, it demonstrates excellent anti-settling and aging resistance.

2. In complex polar systems such as epoxy resins, polyurethanes, and vinyl resins, it also delivers outstanding thickening, reinforcing, and thixotropic properties.

3. In high-strength adhesives, it provides excellent reinforcing performance.

4. In high-density or highly filled ink and coating systems, it offers superior anti-settling and anti-sagging functionality.
